Asian Persuasion
The drink list at the swanky Bu Da Lounge winks at ordinary cocktails the same way the dramatic decor nods to Asian design: with aplomb and originality. The slate-gray walls, bold swags of red fabric, and gilded portraits of Buddha set the tone for cheekily named drinks like the Dirty Geisha (classic martini with ginger-stuffed olives) and the Kimodo Dragon (green-tea liqueur, Midori, Skyy vodka, and Red Bull)…This is mostly a drinking place, to be sure, but a smart menu of Asian starters and sushi rolls offers satisfying nibbles while you contemplate your next drink order.
